Voluntary Counseling and Testing Center (VCT)
The clinic has a Voluntary Counseling and Testing Center program aimed at encouraging local people to come forward for HIV/Aids testing and counseling. This program is helping villagers to learn about their HIV/Aids status. The program is also preparing local people with information and support needed to change risky behaviors that could lead to HIV/Aids. Also this program has been implemented in Maasai Association’s schools.
The maternity clinic is a family oriented unit developed to provide excellent medical services and care to mothers and their newborns. The maternity clinic have a fully integrated approach program where trained nurses work side-by-side with traditional birth attendants (TBAs) to provide medical and family care services to our patients. This facility, without a doubt, will help us avert infant and mother mortality problem in the area.
All the services for mothers and their newborns are provided free of charge.
The emergency vehicle allows the medical team to reach villages in the outlying areas and bring vital medical services to patients in need of urgent medical attention. Emergency vehicle is a significant complement towards our goal to avert mother and infant mortality in the region. It is our hope to extend this program to more villages in the future.
